Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Energy Appointed Personal Supervisor to Promote Composite Group Technologies
Russian delegation concluded two agency agreements and received government support at the highest level
Riyadh, Saudi Arabia – From February 18 to 22, 2023, Composite Group participated in the Russian business mission "Saudi Russian Business Days" as part of the Chelyabinsk Region delegation headed by Minister of Industry P.A. Ryzhiy. The trip marked a significant breakthrough in developing cooperation with one of the Middle East's largest economies and demonstrated high interest from Saudi government structures in Russian composite technologies.
Intensive Business Program and New Partners
During five working days in Riyadh, the Composite Group team held 20 meetings with Saudi business representatives, including major construction consultants and leading construction companies of the kingdom. The negotiations resulted in the conclusion of two agency agreements, which will provide the company with reliable channels for promoting products and technologies in the Saudi market. The established contacts open access to large-scale infrastructure projects being implemented as part of Saudi Arabia's economic transformation program Vision 2030.
Government Support at the Highest Level
As part of the official delegation, Composite Group representatives visited the Saudi Arabia Chamber of Commerce and Industry, where a presentation was made on the capabilities of composite materials for the construction industry. During the event, an introduction took place with the Director of the Saudi Arabia Development Centre – a key organization overseeing the implementation of innovative technologies in the kingdom's economy.
Following the first meeting, a separate visit was organized to the Development Centre office for personal negotiations with the director. The parties reached an agreement on the centre's support for Composite Group's activities in Saudi Arabia, which includes assistance in accessing government tenders, establishing contacts with key clients, and navigating the kingdom's regulatory environment.
The delegation also visited the Ministry of Industry and Trade, where Composite Group specialists presented a detailed report on the application of composite materials in various economic sectors. The presentation generated keen interest from Saudi officials, who noted the relevance of the technologies for implementing the country's ambitious infrastructure programs.
Strategic Cooperation with the Ministry of Energy
Of particular significance was interaction with the Saudi Arabia Ministry of Energy – one of the kingdom's most influential government agencies. The delegation visited the ministry twice: the first visit as part of the official group and a repeat visit for in-depth technical consultations with ministry specialists. The meetings discussed possibilities for applying composite technologies in the oil and gas industry and energy infrastructure facilities.
The negotiations resulted in an unprecedented decision: a personal employee of the Ministry of Energy, a supervisor of the Oil Sustainability Program, was assigned to Composite Group. His tasks include facilitating the development and implementation of the company's technologies in Saudi Arabia, including the development of a national standard for construction composites. This decision confirms the Saudi side's readiness for long-term strategic partnership and recognition of Composite Group as a technology partner at the state level.
